THE GREAT CANCER DOG CHASE

The Canine 5-K walk was a big success. This was our dog team's first big event although we did help with an earlier multi-team event by selling hot dogs. On Saturday, 37 dogs & their owners walked plus another 6 or 8 people with imaginary/pretend dogs! The weather was perfect--it wasn't too hot, we had a pleasant breeze, and there were no hassles about anything. There were three water stops along the way for dogs and people, and every dog received a dog biscuit at the end of the race as well as an official ribbon-like medallion. And we took in about $700 for cancer research!
